Veris starts from the institution's own documents. Lecture notes, past papers and reading lists are processed into structured content, and examinations are drafted from that content rather than from a generic model's memory. Every generated question carries the source it came from.
It is an assessment system first and a course system second. Examinations, question banks, variants and sibling questions, essay grading with rubrics, outcome mapping and remediation plans are the core; courses organise them.
It is built for institutions that answer to someone — accreditation bodies, boards of examiners, regulators — so what a student saw, when, and how it was graded is recorded and exportable.

Questions procurement asks
Is our material used to train models for anyone else?
No. Institutional material and results are used only to serve that institution. Model versions and their data-handling terms are documented in the enterprise agreement, and the sub-processor list names every party involved in generation and grading.
Can we run Veris in a specific region?
Under an enterprise licence, yes: Switzerland, the European Union or the United States, recorded in the agreement. Deployment into an institution's own data plane is available as a managed engagement where the institution's requirements call for it.
Who is accountable for a grade?
The instructor. Grading assistance shows its reasoning against the rubric, but the recorded grade is the instructor's decision, with moderation and appeal supported by the audit trail.
How do we leave?
Export the bank, the examinations and the results in open formats at any time. Under an enterprise agreement, the exit procedure and the deletion of institutional data on termination are written into the contract.
Does it work for regulated professional certification?
The provenance, review states, item analysis and audit trail were designed for examinations that have to be defended to an accreditation body or a regulator. The specific evidence an authority requires is mapped during the enterprise onboarding.
