Legal notice
Effective from September 9, 2026
This page identifies who operates the website altuon.com, who answers for what is published on it and how that person can be reached. Readers in Switzerland, Germany and Austria know this page as the Impressum; Italian law requires the same identification of a business that presents itself online. The statutory particulars of the operator are set out in the operator block that follows this introduction. What follows explains what those particulars mean, which rules apply to the operator and how the operator treats the content and the links on this site.

Purpose of this notice
A person who reads a commercial website is entitled to know who stands behind it. Swiss law on unfair competition, German and Austrian rules on the identification of service providers, and the Italian and European rules on information society services all require that a business operating a website state clearly and permanently who it is, where it is established, how it can be contacted and under which identifiers it is registered.
This notice satisfies those requirements in one place. It is reachable from the footer of every page on the site, in every language the site is published in, so that it is never more than one step away.
This notice is not the privacy notice, which explains how personal data is processed, and it is not the terms of use, which set the conditions for using the site. Both are linked from the same footer. This notice states who; the other two state how and on what terms.
Operator of this website
The website is operated by the sole proprietorship named above. A sole proprietorship has no legal personality separate from the natural person who trades under its name; that person is the operator, holds the rights in the site and answers for it in law.
The operator's legal name, the legal form, the registered office, the European Union VAT identification number, the certified electronic mail address, the ordinary contact email address and the telephone number appear in the operator block above. They are maintained from a single source and are the same on every legal page of this site.
Certified electronic mail, known in Italy as PEC, is the channel through which an Italian business receives formal correspondence with the legal effect of registered post. Use it for formal notices. Use the ordinary email address or the telephone number for everything else; they are read and answered by the operator.
The operator is established in Italy and provides its services from there and, within engagements, on client premises and through the cloud regions named on the trust page.
Responsible for content
The person responsible for the editorial content of this site, in the sense in which German-language media and telemedia law uses that term, is the operator named above. There is no separate editor, publisher or press office. Every text on the site, including the insights, the practice pages and the representative engagement designs in the Work section, is published on the operator's authority.
The site is a corporate presence, not a periodical, and does not carry journalistic or editorial content in the sense of press law. Insights published on the site are the operator's own analysis and are labelled with their date of publication.
Corrections, complaints about content and requests for removal can be sent to the contact email address above. The operator reviews them and replies.
Professional regulation
The operator provides consulting, engineering and software services. In Italy these are not a regulated profession: there is no chamber, professional order or supervisory authority whose admission is required to provide them, no professional title protected by law that the operator uses, and no professional code of conduct issued by a public body that applies to the operator by virtue of membership.
Accordingly, the sections that a German or Austrian Impressum would devote to the competent chamber, the professional title, the state in which it was awarded and the applicable professional regulations do not apply. They are absent here because there is nothing to state, not because they were omitted.
Where the operator works in regulated industries, for example financial services, healthcare or the public sector, the regulation applies to the client and to the systems delivered, not to the operator's admission to practise. How the operator meets those obligations within an engagement is described on the trust page and in each agreement.
VAT identification
The operator is registered for value added tax in Italy. The European Union VAT identification number is stated in the operator block above and can be verified through the European Commission's VAT Information Exchange System.
Clients established in another member state of the European Union receive invoices under the reverse-charge mechanism where it applies, and clients established outside the Union receive invoices without Italian VAT where the place of supply rules so provide. The treatment applied to a particular engagement is stated in the proposal and on each invoice.
A sole proprietorship in Italy is identified in public records principally by this number and by the fiscal code of the natural person who trades under the name. Any further public registration particulars that apply to the operator are stated in the operator block above; no others are claimed here.
Online dispute resolution and consumer arbitration
The European Commission provides a platform for the online resolution of disputes between consumers and traders, reachable through the Commission's website. The operator's contact email address, which the platform asks for, is stated in the operator block above.
The operator is not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and does not do so. This is the statement that German law requires a trader to make one way or the other, and it is made here so that a reader is not left to guess.
This site is addressed to organisations. Where a consumer nonetheless deals with the operator, the mandatory consumer protections of the consumer's country of residence apply and are not affected by this statement. Disputes that are not resolved by agreement are decided by the courts named in the terms of use.
Liability for content
The operator prepares the content of this site with care and keeps it current. The operator is responsible under the applicable law for its own content. The operator is not, however, obliged to monitor information transmitted or stored by third parties, nor to search for circumstances indicating unlawful activity; obligations to remove or block content under the general law remain unaffected.
Liability for the operator's own content arises from the moment the operator knows of a specific infringement. On becoming aware of one, the operator removes the content in question without delay.
The content is informational. It is not legal, regulatory, financial, medical or tax advice, and it is not an offer capable of acceptance. Representative engagement designs in the Work section are labelled as blueprints and do not describe past work. A reader who relies on the content for a decision does so on their own judgement, and the limits of the operator's liability are set out in the terms of use.
Liability for links
This site contains links to external websites operated by third parties: regulators, standards bodies, the subdomains on which the operator's products run, social networks and sources cited in the insights. The operator has no influence over the content of those sites and accepts no liability for it. The provider or operator of a linked site is always responsible for its content.
Each linked site was checked for possible legal infringements at the time the link was placed. No unlawful content was recognisable at that time. Permanent monitoring of the content of linked sites is not reasonable without concrete indication of an infringement.
On becoming aware that a linked site contains unlawful content, the operator removes the link without delay. Notices about such content can be sent to the contact email address above.
Copyright
The content and works on this site, including the text, the Altuon wordmark, the visual motifs, the page designs, the illustrations and the code that renders the pages, are subject to Italian copyright law, the copyright law of the European Union and the international conventions to which Italy is party. They belong to the operator named above or are used under licence.
Reproduction, editing, distribution and any use beyond the limits of copyright require the written consent of the operator. Downloads and copies of pages are permitted for private, non-commercial use and for internal reference within an organisation. Use of the content to train or ground machine learning models is not permitted without written consent.
Where content on this site was not created by the operator, the rights of the third party are respected and the content is marked as such. The typefaces used on the site are licensed under the SIL Open Font License and are used within its terms. Should you nonetheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please notify the operator; on becoming aware of an infringement, the operator removes the content in question without delay.
Language of this notice
This notice is published in every language of the site: English, German, French, Arabic, Turkish and Italian. The footer link that leads here carries the same text in each of them, so that a reader in any of the site's languages can find the notice and read it.
The notice is drafted in English, because English is the shared language of the operator's clients across the regions the site addresses; the other versions are translations of that text. The identifiers in the operator block above are language-independent. Where a reader needs the notice, or any part of it, explained further, the operator will do so on request at the contact email address above.
In the event of any doubt about the meaning of this notice, or of any divergence between a translation and the English text, the English text is authoritative. This notice was last changed on the effective date shown at the top of the page.
